Control panel overview

[Note]

This control panel may differ from your machine depending on its model. There are various types of control panels.

Type A

Eco

Enters eco mode to reduce toner consumption and paper usage (see Eco options).

(Cancel)

Stops an operation at any time and there are more functions.

  • Cancels the current job.

  • Prints demo page: Press and hold this button for about 5 seconds until the status LED blinks, and release.

  • Prints configuration reports: Press and hold this button for about 3 seconds until the status LED blinks, and release.

(Power)

You can turn the power on and off with this button.

(Status LED)

Shows the status of your machine (see Status LED).

(Jam LED)

Shows the jam occurrance status of your machine (see Clearing paper jams).

Type B

1

Display

Shows the current status and prompts during an operation.

(Menu)

Enters menu mode and scrolls through the available menus.

OK

Confirms the selection on the display.

(Back)

Sends you back to the upper menu level.
