Control panel overview

This control panel may differ from your machine depending on its model. There are various types of control panels.

Type A

Display

Shows the current status and prompts during an operation.

(Back)

Sends you back to the upper menu level.

OK

Confirms the selection on the display.

(Cancel)

Stops current operation.

(Power)

You can turn the power on and off with this button. Or wake up from the power save mode.

(Status LED)

Shows the status of your machine (see Understanding the status LED).

Numeric keypad

Use the keypad to enter numbers and characters.

Eco

Enters eco mode to reduce toner consumption and paper usage (see Eco options).

Arrows

Navigates available values by moving to the next or previous options.

(Menu)

Enters menu mode and scrolls through the available menus.

Type B

Display

Stops current operation. The pop-up window appears on the screen that the user can stop or resume.
