Features of your new product

Your new machine is equipped with a number of special features that improve the quality of the documents you print.

Special Features

You can print with a resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi effective output.
ML-551x Series prints A4-sized paper at up to 52 ppm, and letter-sized paper at up to 55 ppm.

ML-651x Series prints A4-sized paper at up to 62 ppm, and letter-sized paper at up to 65 ppm.

The multi-purpose tray supports special types of print media in various sizes.
The tray 1 and optional trays support plain paper in various sizes (See Print media specifications).

Print Watermarks. You can customize your documents with words, such as “Confidential” (See Using watermarks).
Print Posters. The text and pictures of each page of your document are magnified and printed across the sheet of paper and can then be taped together to form a poster (See Printing posters).
You can use preprinted forms with plain paper (SeeUsing overlay (PCL driver only)).

To save paper, you can print multiple pages on one single sheet of paper (See Printing multiple pages on one sheet of paper).
This machine automatically conserves electricity by substantially reducing power consumption when not in use.
To save paper, you can print on both sides of the paper (double-sided printing). For some models, you need to install an optional duplex unit to use the duplex feature (See Printing on both sides of paper).

Your machine has an extra memory slot to expand the memory (See Available accessories).
Zoran IPS Emulation* compatible with PostScript 3 (PS) enables PS printing.

136 PS3 fonts: Contains UFST and MicroType from Monotype Imaging Inc.

You can print with various operating system such as Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and UNIX (See System requirements).
Your machine is equipped with a USB, Parallel (optional), and a network interface.

If you have a USB memory device, you can use it in various ways with your machine.

You can reduce toner and paper usage (See Introducing the useful buttons).
